4th of JULY

We had a lovely 4th of July weekend!

Saturday night we watched fireworks. We chose a different spot then the last few years. We got out faster but it was on the side of a busy road & I was stressed one of my children would dart out into traffic at any moment.

Then on Sunday the kids dressed in their matching dress & tie (made by Black Grandma) & we enjoyed a lovely patriotic hymn filled Sabbath Day.

And then Saturday I woke up early to go to the Balloon Festival. It's so early & now I kind of want to die but its a lot of fun.

And we capped the day off with a visit to the "Freedom Festival" (a little fair in our downtown area). Complete with Tigers Blood Shaved Ice, temper tantrums, & very tired children.

How did you guys celebrate the 4th?

You forgot to say how you worked like a Banshee getting your yard cleaned...and not it looks beautiful. Did you do more? We had fun with you, but it was too short.

It looks like it was a fab weekend! Tigers Blood shaved ice is by far the best.

I, unfortfunately, had to cut my celebrating short since my body decided to get deathly ill....again.

I didn't know there was a balloon festival! You know all the cool stuff to do!

Sounds like your weekend was awesome!

Ez HATES the fireworks... so we put him to bed, and watched them from our front yard. We got to actually ENJOY the fireworks this year.

Oh, and Tiger's Blood is the BEST flavor out there! NO DOUBT ABOUT IT! :)

When is the Balloon festival? I'm so bummed we missed it!
